MEMBER SUCCESS AT WORCESTERSHIRE APPRENTICESHIP AWARDS

Home / News & Opportunities / Chamber News

Date: 21/11/2017

Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce was proud to be the sponsor of the Small Apprenticeship Employer of the Year at the Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards, with Members Green Lighting Ltd being selected as the winner, and Bradley Haynes Law as runner-up.

The awards took place last week on Thursday 16 November, organised by Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and Worcestershire County Council. There were a total of twelve categories for this year, and welcomed a record number of guests on the evening. The awards ceremony was held at the Tree Tops Pavilion, West Midland Safari Park, and was a fantastic evening to celebrate Worcestershire’s best apprentices, employers, training providers and schools.

The Chamber would like to congratulate all those who made the shortlisting for this year’s awards, sending its best wishes to the winners of all categories. The top two awards were awarded to Members CP Foods UK for Worcestershire Apprenticeship Employer of the Year, sponsored by fellow Member Yamazaki Mazak (UK) Ltd, and Ben Hyde from Sanctuary Group who won Worcestershire Apprentice of the Year, sponsored by Chamber Patron Worcester, Bosch Group.

It was brilliant to see so many Chamber Members recognised for their hard-work in promoting the benefits of apprenticeships. I would like to personally congratulate CP Foods UK, Green Lighting Ltd, The Development Manager Ltd and Titania for their awards, extending this to all Members who were involved in the brilliant evening.

Following the results of surveys conducted on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce this year, the skills shortage has been a main concern to local businesses throughout the year, and prestigious awards like the Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards are a way to tackle the issue directly.
