Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce is delighted to be sponsoring the Young Volunteer of the Year award at this year’s Sports Partnership Herefordshire & Worcestershire Sports Awards 2017.

The awards aim to reward and recognise people from across the two counties that take part, work, coach and volunteer in Sport and Physical Activity. The awards are aimed at local people, clubs and organisations to be recognised for their hard-work, commitment and passion for sport at both amateur and professional levels.

The Young Volunteer of the Year award celebrates those who are under 18, and dedicate their free time to benefit individuals or groups who participate in sports and/or physical activity. The Young Volunteer of the Year will be a positive role model for other young people, and are committed to their own development.

This year’s finalists are:

Hayden Bell – Leigh & Bransford Badgers FC
Jacob Ottley – Redditch Cricket Club
Gareth Richardson – Redditch road and Path Cycling Club

The awards ceremony, where the winner of each category will be announced, will be held on Thursday 23 November at Sixways Stadium, Worcester. The Chamber would like to wish all finalists good luck, and it looks forward to seeing the results on the night.
