The University of Worcester would like to invite you to the Annual Lecture of Worcester Business School, in association with the Institute of Directors, which this year will be given by Alex De Ruyter of the Centre for Brexit Studies. The lecture is entitled “The Twists and Turns of BREXIT and its impact in the West Midlands – an insider perspective!”, please find attached an invitation with full details.

The lecture will be preceded by an official Welcome Address from Anne-Marie McTavish, the new Head of Business School and will be followed by a reception to which you are also warmly invited.

Overwhelming media coverage over recent months has demonstrated the level of uncertainty that has been associated with Brexit and its likely impact on local economies, small and large businesses, public sector organisations and society in general.  Professor Alex de Ruyter is the Director of the Centre for Brexit Studies which is based at Birmingham City University. He and his colleagues at the Centre represent a wealth of research experience which has provided valuable insights to advise government policy on the likely impact of the Brexit agenda.  This timely lecture will raise and address issues which will be of interest to the local business community and University students alike.

The university hopes you will be able to join us for what promises to be an enjoyable and informative event.
