It is now mandatory for passengers to wear face coverings on public transport in England. This applies to trains, buses, trams, ferries and planes. As businesses in the UK return to on-site working and more people begin to use public transport, the Department for Transport has produced guidance for employers to help provide a safe return to work on the transport network including encouraging active travel and travel outside peak hours.

Travellers exempt from English border rules

Some travellers will be exempt from new border rules in the UK. This means they may not need to provide their journey or contact details or self-isolate for 14 days after they arrive.
