Relate Severn and Wye need an additional Trustee to be their Treasurer to help support clients and develop their services in Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire, especially following the impact of the pandemic!
What will you be doing?
Do you empathise with their work, and are willing to support what they do by working with a dynamic team of trustees and staff to further develop the charity and its services? Do you have business or not-for-profit experience and an accountancy qualification? Can you spare a few hours each month? If so then Relate would be delighted to hear from you and receive your application.
Trustees meet monthly in Worcester or by Zoom throughout the year to consider and review Relate Severn and Wye’s strategic direction and its business development plans. They are in need of a person who can commit to attending these meetings and occasional other meetings such as the AGM. In addition the Treasurer will need to spend a few hours each month preparing the monthly accounts pack.
The role of a Trustee is vital in helping offer appropriate services to local clients, both face to face and by telephone or webcam contributing to a sustainable future for the charity.
They have a broad mix of skills, knowledge and experience amongst the trustees and each person has much to offer. Relate work in a professional manner and exhibit strong governance of the charity. They are a friendly bunch with an informal style, and will receive a very warm welcome, cake and biscuits! There will of course be a full induction with support to help settle into the Trustee role.
