More than 7,000 businesses have now signed up to the new Trader Support Service (TSS), which will support traders moving goods under the Northern Ireland Protocol from 1 January 2021.
The transition period after leaving the EU ends on 31 December 2020. So, from 1 January 2021 goods moving between Great Britain and Northern Ireland will be subject to new declarations.
HM Government has established the free-to-use Trader Support Service (TSS) to support you.
TSS will enable you to:
• Complete declarations without the need for specialist advice or software.
• Submit declarations quickly, saving you time and expense.
• Get information and advice to help you prepare for 1 January 2021.
It is important register for the scheme before the 23 November 2020 to ensure auto allocation of an XI prefix EORI number and to avoid significant disruption to your business – including an inability to move goods into or out of Northern Ireland.
