Chamber supporting local hospice to raise £20,000 in 2020

Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce is proud to be supporting St Richard’s Hospice’s 2020 Business Challenge – the first of its kind for the Worcester-based charity.

The hospice provides care for adults with a serious progressive illness, helping to improve their quality of life from diagnosis, through to treatment and to their last days – whilst supporting the families of patients.

St Richard’s Hospice is currently raising funds for the Build 2020 Appeal to develop a larger base in the city so that more patients and families can be cared for in Worcestershire.

The inventive project requires 20 local companies to sign up to the challenge, with the collective aim of raising more than £20,000 to help expand the care in the city. Each team that is signed up will be given £50 to grow into a larger donation by fundraising in innovative ways to help the Chamber and St Richard’s to meet the overall goal.

The challenge will run from January to March next year and will culminate with a special awards dinner where the grand total will be announced, and prizes will be awarded to those involved.

From sports days, to cake sales or even something more adventurous, those involved are encouraged to come up with the most inventive way to generate the funds needed for the challenge. For more information and fundraising tips, please visit www.strichards.org.uk/20-20-business-challenge.
