This exciting event promises to be a hub for professionals in the health and wellbeing sector. Immerse yourself in inspiring talks from industry-leading guest speakers who will share innovative insights and emerging trends. The event is in addition to the highly popular Health and Wellbeing Forums and will include plenty of networking opportunities, refreshments and a two course lunch.
Our guest speakers;
Trent Smith, Fitness Centre Owner at TSC Centre Topic: How the Impact of physical training can positively impact your overall health and wellbeing. We will explore how physical activity, nutrition and lifestyle can benefit us as individuals, as well as our employees and work environments. We will begin to unlock a new mindset when it comes to your overall health and well being.
Carie Workman, Clinical Specialist Mental Health Nurse and Therapist at New Beginning Topic: Education to understand various mental health conditions and how to manage mental well-being within the workplace. Carie will educate on various mental health conditions such as depression, low mood, anxiety, stress and the impact this has on people. She will discuss how to start a conversation about mental health, not to discriminate and asking open questions.
Jonny Wilks, Managing Director at Lucart Hygiene Jonny will share his personal journey, highlighting the pivotal experiences that shaped his perspective on the need to raise awareness about health and wellbeing in the workplace. Through his narrative, he will highlight the profound impact that a supportive work environment can have on individuals and teams alike.
Gill Slater, Head of Organisational Development at University of Worcester Topic: The rising diagnosis of ADHD and Autism amongst young people and adults, what that means for the future of the workplace Hear from Gill on how the University is responding to the increase in the number of people – staff and students- who are disclosing their neurodiversity and seeking support. What the support consists of in relation to adjustments to the employment and learning environment for individuals, their team members, managers and teachers.
Chris Hopkirk, Managing Director of The Business of Mindfulness & Jonathan Downes, Director of Glassfull Topic: From Experience to Action: Effective Mental Health and Wellbeing approaches in the workplace Drawing on shared experiences, this workshop creates space for participants to discuss mental health challenges and best practices, while collaborating on innovative ways to strengthen well-being and mindfulness in the workplace.
