Oakland Foundation charity supports South Bromsgrove School

South Bromsgrove High School is overjoyed to have secured sports equipment funding from local Redditch and Bromsgrove children’s charity the Oakland Foundation.

Helping to engage and encourage more students to remain active, the Foundation’s funding has helped purchase ten new mini-trampolines and paid for the necessary teacher training to run and incorporate the new ‘Boogie Bounce’ fitness activity classes into South Bromsgrove’s lessons and extra-curricular clubs, which will help to boost students’ mental health and wellbeing and encourage more pupils between the ages of 14-15, particularly girls, to remain active.

South Bromsgrove Head of PE, Mr Rob Law, commented: “Working in connection with the Oakland Foundation has been fantastic from day one. They were supportive throughout the process and really keen on learning about how they can use their assets to support the future generations. Thank you, Oakland Foundation.”
