Full time: 37 hours per week (flexible working arrangements would be considered), Salary: £32,000 - £35,000, Location: Hereford/Worcester based

The Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce is a dynamic, member-led and not for profit organisation which works to support the local business community and our network of members.

Our membership has gone from strength to strength in recent years; we are currently the 8th largest Chamber in the UK out of 53, with over 1,500 active members. Due to continued growth, we are seeking applications from talented and experienced sales and customer service leaders to join our growing team.

Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, and with support from a team of sales and customer service professionals, you will by responsible for managing the Chamber Membership service ensuring all targets and key performance indicators are met.

You will take responsibility for developing the sales and customer retention strategies of members, understanding the member lifecycle and implementing processes to ultimately grow the client base.

A naturally strong communicator with the gravitas to represent the Membership, you will lead, inspire and motivate the sales and customer service teams to achieve their respective objectives inline with our business plan. You will also be adept at understanding processes and procedures, particularly within CRM, data management and reporting systems.

You will also work with our marketing team to develop targeted campaigns to generate new members and will actively engage with member and non member businesses, attend and facilitate Chamber networking events and continually raise the Chamber’s profile.

The successful candidate should ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent within a relevant business and/or professional qualification, must have experience in a sales or customer service leadership role and of developing strong client and stakeholder relationships.

You will also have a demonstrable track record of consistent target achievement and income generation, excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to analyse and report on complex financial and operational data.
