A Kidderminster law firm is to host a unique training course to help equip care home staff and social workers with the basic knowledge they need to talk confidently about wills.

Wills and probate experts from mfg Solicitors will host the free 90-minute session between 2:15pm and 3:45pm on Thursday 18 October at its Adam House offices on Birmingham Road.
The course will be presented by mfg specialists Gill Browne and Tom Evans.
Mrs Browne said: “This training course is really specific to those who work in the care industry, social workers, or those who work on a regular basis with vulnerable people.
“These are professionals who often come across difficult questions from families about concerns over wills and other later life issues. What we hope the seminar will do is equip them with a basic overview of how wills work and what the key steps are for families to take.
“People who work in care homes, for example, are often met with tricky questions from families which they are unable to answer.
“The free session aims to put that right and will focus on various case studies to send people away confident that they can talk through serious issues with families, knowing that they are saying the right thing.”
Mrs Browne added that the course, which includes a Q&A session, is also a personal development opportunity for care staff and that those attending will be presented with a certificate.
