There’s no doubt that business owners and SMEs want to reduce their carbon emissions, but knowing where to start, or what your obligations actually are can feel overwhelming. Thankfully, two Worcestershire business owners have joined forces to help businesses meet their energy obligations and play their part in the fight against climate change.
Mike Taylor, founder of Taylor and Co Architects, and Gordon Wellings, a highly qualified and experienced Energy Assessor, are the founders of Energy Audits UK. Their aim is to provide independent and data driven advice, and work with business owners to create a realistic and achievable plan to prepare for a sustainable future, whilst also identifying opportunities to reduce operational costs and energy emissions.
It’s a bespoke service, with data at the heart of the operation, as Gordon explains: “Many businesses try to implement energy saving measures without looking at the data. But there is no one size fits all approach. The results are always surprising, but SMEs can make real progress and a much better return on their investment when they work with the data.”
Energy Audits are offering a 10% discount for Chamber members until the end of the year. They can help with a number of initiatives and services, including the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme, TM44 air conditioning inspections, the implementation of ISO 50001, complex energy audits, and strategies to meet NetZero by 2050.
