New Herefordshire community grants look to improve overall wellbeing

A number of new grants are now available to support community and voluntary groups to offer a range of activities that look to improve overall wellbeing. The grants are being funded as part of Herefordshire Council’s investment in supporting economic recovery and improving wellbeing, as the county looks to recover from the impacts of covid-19.

Get Active green spaces grant – Herefordshire Community Foundation

Grants of up to £10,000 are available for projects that will support communities to improve publicly accessible green spaces in their local area and increase access to activities to encourage health, exercise, recreation and play.

The grant scheme is open for applications until 7 October 2021.

Community and personal resilience grant – Herefordshire Community Foundation

Grants of up to £10,000 are available for projects that will increase capacity in voluntary and community groups (VCSE) to promote greater personal and community resilience following the impacts of Covid-19.

The grant scheme is open for applications until 14 October 2021.

Get Active cultural activities grant – Community First

Grants of up to £10,000 are available for projects that support the development of cultural activities to improve mental health and wellbeing and get people engaged back into society following long periods of lockdown and restricted access to services.

The grant scheme is open for applications until 14 October 2021.
