This November (9th–16th) marks National Supported Lodgings Week, celebrating the incredible role ordinary people play in providing safe and supportive homes for young people who might otherwise face homelessness.
Through St Basils Supported Lodgings scheme, Hosts offer a spare room and a caring environment, helping young people build independence and stability. Hosts receive training, ongoing support, and financial assistance.
Micah and Eleanor, current Hosts, said:
“It’s amazing to see how simply inviting someone into our home has had such a profound impact on their life. We’ve loved the relationships we’ve built and the difference it has made for our family too.”
St Basils urgently needs more Hosts across Worcester, Kidderminster, Redditch, and Bromsgrove to meet growing demand.
