A Cotswolds networking group raised over £1,600 for Children’s Air Ambulance at their festive event hosted at The Lygon Arms, Broadway.

Cotswold Business Connections – a local, no fees, networking group – enjoyed an evening of fun and festivities whilst raising money for local charity the Children’s Air Ambulance.

Aiming to encourage and support trade in the region, local business owners Ruby Edwards, from You Do Better PR, and Peter Heming, MD of Heming Group, joined together to help boost trade in the area and host a monthly networking group over breakfast in Broadway.

Launched in February 2019 and hosted at The Swan every second Friday of the month, the breakfast meeting aims to introduce local professional contacts to each other throughout the Cotswolds in an informal and friendly way.

Anna Phillips from the Children’s Air Ambulance said: “We are thrilled to have such great support for our charity. The national lifesaving service we provide to critically ill babies and children in need of an urgent transfer to a specialist paediatric intensive care unit is absolutely vital. We’re always looking for more companies to work with and this event has given us a great opportunity to raise awareness and meet new contacts.”

Erika Steward, Director at The Lygon Arms, said: “We were excited to participate in the recent event which supported the Children’s Air Ambulance and are delighted by the amount raised for this extremely worthwhile charity. The local community is of paramount importance to the hotel and we were very pleased to be able to contribute towards such a wonderful cause.”

Their next meeting will take place on Friday 10 January 2020 from 7.00-9.00am at The Swan, Broadway. For more information or to book your place, click here.
