Little Trinity Nursery enjoy World Book Day

Children at Kidderminster’s Little Trinity Nursery shared a wonderful week and dressed up as their favourite book character to celebrate World Book Day.

Celebrations began with the ‘Share a Story’ which runs from 27th February all the way through to 29th March, with all pupils receiving a £1 World Book Day voucher to be exchanged for one of twelve specially published texts available from major supermarkets and bookshops or used at the school’s Book Fair at the end of the month.

Manager, Gaynor Carter, said: “Each class throughout the week focused on their favourite stories.

“We celebrate World Book Day every year because language, literacy and communication is such a vital part of a child’s learning and story time is very often their favourite time of the day.

“Encouraging reading and enjoyment of books is part of our weekly activities, with our lending library offering the children a chance to choose a book that they can then take home and share with their families. World Book Day is a great excuse to simply have fun, share stories, enjoy a favourite book and dress up. What an amazing week!”
