This week marks the first annual Family Business Week in the UK, which looks to celebrate the contributions of family businesses to the economy and the importance of the work they do.
With over 5 million family firms in the UK, employing over 14 million people, the family business sector represents the entrepreneurial spirit of UK businesses.
Family businesses are using this week to showcase success stories of how they support their people and local communities.
We are delighted to be celebrating the role that family businesses play in our communities. Many of these businesses have been faced with a tough time during the pandemic, therefore this week of celebration will hopefully go towards recognising the achievements of family businesses as well as their value to our business community.
