How will the upcoming Budget affect your business?

Join the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce and Bishop Fleming on Friday 13 March 7.30-9.30am at Sixways Stadium for our Budget breakfast. On 11 March Sajid Javid will be delivering his first Budget as Chancellor. As the first Budget after the UK has left the European Union we are expecting a radical set of actions that set out the Government’s ambitions for a post-Brexit UK. The experts at Bishop Fleming will be delving into the details and discussing what it means for businesses across the region.

The Queen’s speech in December outlined some of the key changes businesses can expect to hear. A review of business rates, increase in tax relief for R&D and a review of Entrepreneurs’ Relief all look likely. It will also be interesting to see whether the proposed rollout of IR35 will continue as planned. It was due to be implemented on 6 April 2020 but details haven’t been forthcoming.

In announcing the Budget the Chancellor has said he will prioritise the environment and boost spending on public services including hospitals, the police force and education.
