Herefordshire Council urges people to have their say on transport and infrastructure

Herefordshire Council will spend up to £451,000 on reviewing the city bypass and southern link road schemes. Cabinet members have approved setting aside £360,000 of the council’s financial reserves to meet the review costs of the Hereford Transport and South Wye Transport packages. John Harrington, Cheif of Transport and Infrastructure, decided to pause and review both schemes after Herefordshire Independent, Green Party and It’s Our County councillors formed a coalition administration last year.

John Harrington confirmed the review programme of the Hereford Transport and South Wye transport packages earlier this month. Officers will now be authorised to complete the work within a budget of £451,000. The reviews have a deadline of July 31, 2020.

Herefordshire County Council are urging businesses to have their say on the future of the Hereford Bypass project. Whether for or against it, they would like you to get in contact to share your views. Please contact: [email protected]

The views of residents, commuters and local businesses are very important to Herefordshire Council. They would welcome feedback on your experiences of transport and travel in Hereford and about the improvements you would like to see. To share your views please go to travelinhereford.commonplace.is so that your feedback can be included in the review. Please complete the online questionnaire by Tuesday 31 March 2020.
