International law firm Gowling WLG has been recognised as one of the top 10 best places to work in the UK and has been ranked by Great Place to Work® for the 21st consecutive year.

Great Place to Work® have published the UK’s Best Workplaces™ rankings, with the firm being named 10th in the ‘super-large’ category, for organisations with more than 1,000 employees.

This latest ranking marks another significant accolade for the firm, which remains one of only two companies to be listed every year since the survey began in 2001.

Chief Executive David Fennell said: “In a year like no other I am so proud of our people. Everyone in the firm has had their unique personal challenges and I am amazed and delighted at how they have adapted to different ways of working, communicating, learning and supporting clients who in turn have faced extraordinary times.

“Great Place to Work®  and our pulse surveys provide us with invaluable feedback from our people on where we’re doing well and where we can improve, as well as independent benchmarking – leading to new initiatives each year that deliver for our people and our clients. This recognition is testament to the extraordinary efforts that our people have made in pulling together and supporting our unique culture during a particularly challenging and unique year.”

Great Place to Work® UK is a consultancy specialising in workplace culture, helping organisations to create exceptional, high performing workplaces where employees feel trusted and valued.

The methodology behind the Best Workplaces list is one of the most rigorous available and (uniquely) comprises both an employee survey and, this year, an audit into organisations’ response to the pandemic.
