Give As You Live named Small Apprenticeship Employer of the Year

Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce would like to congratulate its category winner in the Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards 2019, Give As You Live.

Give As You Live provides an innovative way for consumers to raise money for charity in the UK, allowing customers to donate as they shop online.

The Evesham-based company were revealed as finalists earlier this year, alongside their category competitors Payara and The Priory Forge.

Judges commented on the high level of competition for this year’s awards, with all three finalists very worthy of the winner’s title.

The Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards 2019 welcomed 28 of the best apprentices, employers, training providers, career leads and schools after being recognised for their outstanding achievements. The event was the sixth of its kind, and consistently attracts over 300 guests from across the county and beyond.

Taking place at Tree Tops Pavilion, West Midland Safari Park, this year’s awards were hosted by former Paralympian and gold medallist, Marc Woods.

Worcestershire Apprenticeships provide services for young people, parents and employers to encourage young people in become skilled employees through alternative education routes within the Worcestershire area.

The importance of young people working with experienced staff to gain job-specific skills alongside a new qualification is highlighted by H&W Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive, Sharon Smith: “With companies becoming increasingly aware of the need for a skilled workforce, it is important to recognise and celebrate the contributions made by employers and the apprentices themselves and their achievements.

“The Worcestershire Apprenticeships Awards put a spotlight on the future workforce and strengthens the importance of businesses supporting alternative routes into roles.

“I’d like to wish Give As You Live a well-deserved congratulations for their hard work this year.”
