The Worcestershire Ambassadors are delighted to share the wonderful news that ‘The Worcestershire Community Foundation’ have generously offered to match-fund up to £20,000 for any donations made through the website for their Christmas Foodbank Appeal.
The aim of the Ambassadors’ Appeal is to work with the Trussell Trust Foodbank charities in Droitwich, Kidderminster, Malvern, Redditch and Worcester to raise sufficient funds to finance a 3-day food parcel for individuals and families over the Christmas period.
The Worcestershire Ambassadors is a unique organisation with core aims and objectives to help make Worcestershire a great place to live, work, invest, visit and do business. The Board are all volunteers working in partnership with or in support of established leading county organisations such as the County/District/City Councils, the Chamber of Commerce, the Local Enterprise Partnership, University and more recently the One Worcestershire campaign.
With the ongoing cost of living crisis, many families will need to turn to Food Banks over the festive period. More than ever, Food Banks provide vital support to families facing impossible decisions – and demand is increasing. This is why the Worcestershire Ambassadors have dedicated themselves to raising £100,000 for their Christmas Foodbank Appeal.
Now that the Worcestershire Community Foundation has committed to match funding £20,000, the Worcestershire Ambassadors are encouraging people to make donations via the website, in order to make the most of this generous offer.
