A Worcestershire IT and software provider has hired a new operations manager who will play a key role in overseeing the company’s new phase of growth.
Following an increase in clients, Kidderminster firm Minster Micro has appointed experienced technology specialist Simon Edwards to the role where he will oversee a range of client-related matters including IT infrastructure projects and managing large-scale system installations.
With over 25 years’ experience in the sector, the company’s managing director Susan Marlow believes Mr Edwards, who had previous successful spells at the Worcester Road company, is the perfect appointment.
She said: “When we knew that Simon was open to the prospect of heading up our operations team he was immediately the frontrunner for the job.
“He was the dream candidate because he knows how Minster Micro works and what is expected. He has also gained valuable insight into the global IT marketplace which will only help us and our clients in the months and years ahead.
“Simon has rejoined us at an exciting time. We are bringing new clients in on a regular basis and are also constantly investing in the next generation of IT talent with a superb batch of young people coming through. Simon will play a key leadership and coaching role in all of that.”
Simon Edwards added: “It’s a great buzz to be back at Minster Micro with Susan and the team. I returned because I wanted to be back around technical people and to work closely with businesses to help shape and support their systems.
“Coming back to Minster Micro is like coming home.”
Minster Micro supply accounts and payroll software as an award-winning Pegasus business software provider. It also partners with industry giants Microsoft and HP to help deliver a variety of IT support services and training.
