Dressing as Dotty the Ladybird is a great sign

Darren Wilkins from City Signs turned into Dotty the Ladybird last week to raise the profile of the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust and over £230 for the charity so far.

Local MD Darren Wilkins visited companies on the local industrial estate, Mill Top Business Park near Hallow, Worcester, in a pledge to raise not only the profile of the charity but also much needed funds for children with cancer.

The scheme, which encouraged all of the local businesses to wear red, was a huge hit and gained just over £230 for the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust. This year, City Signs have chosen the local cause as charity of choice and have set a target of raising £6,000 in their 60th year of trading via their #6For60 campaign. Fundraising events will include an open day, charity golf day and the Worcester 10k run dressed again as the mascot Dotty.

Michelle Nolan, Community and Corporate Fundraiser at the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust, says: “As a local Worcester charity The trust was completely honoured to be chosen to join City Signs in their momentous 60th year of business celebrations, their #6for60 has created lots of excitement and will be an amazing amount of money raised, Darren and his team are all working so hard to raise as much as they can for the charity that is close their hearts, for this amazing support we are grateful and excited to working with such lovely people.”
