Worcester Business Improvement District (BID) is inviting businesses to join other city superheroes in a new lunchtime initiative to help Worcester spaces look their best.
In conjunction with The Kiln co-working space in Copenhagen Street, Worcester BID is hosting this as a monthly lunch break networking group with a difference.
City superheroes meet up from Worcester businesses once a month to support the community by taking part in litter picking, helping to paint forgotten areas of the city, clean stickers, finger signs and lamp-posts and more, all to assist in making the city spaces more inviting for residents and visitors.
Samantha McCarthy, CEO of Worcester BID says: “This initiative is geared towards educating us all about the importance of keeping our city looking its best, helping to understand the work behind the scenes and getting businesses involved in being more aware.”
Alex Brookes, Centre Manager from The Kiln adds: “City Superheroes has been a long time in the making but we are so excited to be working alongside Worcester BID to launch this fantastic project. We are constantly looking for ideas for events to promote businesses coming together and as we are located in the centre of Worcester city, we wanted to do something to help take care of it. City Superheroes combines exercise and networking while also doing good deeds for our city. I am sure this will be a huge success.”
Worcester BID and The Kiln are inviting local businesses to offer up their time once a month to do something positive for the community. To find out more about getting involved, please contact Alex Brookes at The Kiln on [email protected] , telephone 01905 675179.
