Children’s summer holiday workshops at The Courtyard

The Courtyard are delighted to be hosting a series of week-long workshops, both online and in-person this summer.

  • Be A Star Week Online; a series of online workshops aimed at young people, aged 8-15 with or without additional needs and/or disabilities. The sessions will run daily from 10.00am – 1.00pm from Monday 26 – Friday 30 July and will be delivered via Zoom. The Be A Star Week Online workshops will introduce participants to a range of creative disciplines from music, drama and dance to arts and crafts and storytelling. By attending this week of workshops, participants will also complete their Discover Arts Award, a nationally recognised qualification.

 

  • From Monday 9 – Friday 13 August children aged 7-12 can get involved in Courtyard Adventures, a series of drama-based workshops, delivered in person at The Courtyard. Participants will use drama to traverse deserts, explore rainforests, climb mountains, conquer space and rediscover their sense of adventure.

 

  • Closing The Courtyard’s series of summer workshops is a Film Making Week running from Monday 23 – Friday 27 August. Participants will explore the basics such as; script writing, story boarding, cinematography, directing, sound and lighting. Working in small groups they will explore film making equipment and plan, shoot and edit their own short film. Film Making Week is suitable for ages 14+.
