Our latest Quarterly Economic Survey is now open. Click here to take part.

Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce represent the views of our members to national government, ensuring that the business case drives government policy. A great benefit of being part of this extensive network of business support is that your views are represented in our Quarterly Economic Reports, which are widely used by HM Treasury, the Bank of England and the Office for Budgetary Responsibility to influence policy making.

As lockdown is easing and as we move to stage 3 of the government roadmap, there are still challenges which many businesses continue to face, such as Covid-19 and EU Exit. The opening of non-essential shops on 12 April provided a much needed boost to the local, regional, and national economy. The data collected from the Quarterly Economic Survey helps to shape government policy and highlight some of the challenges businesses continue to face while businesses reopen and trade following the latest lockdown.

Our Quarter 1 2021 report showed 30% of business are looking to recruit in the next 3 months. As the UK economy opens up many firms are planning to recruit in sectors such as manufacturing, technology, financial services, and engineering.

The Chamber wants to know how the crisis has impacted your investment plans, sales, orders, and recruitment over the last 3 months. By providing this data, we can lobby government and drive change to help support your business during a challenging time.
