You Do Better have collaborated with a number of chamber members and now with President Mike Forrester on the ‘word of the week’ initiative.
Each week, Ruby Edwards and the You Do Better team shine a spotlight on a new word chosen by a local business person. The initiative is designed not only to share interesting content and to gain interest in the words we use, but also to provide people with the tools they may need to communicate better. As a team of people who love words and how they’re used, the communications agency launched the campaign with ‘Wordsmith’; a skilled user of words.
This week’s word has been chosen by Mike Forrester, President of the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce. Synectics: “a problem-solving technique which seeks to promote creative thinking, typically among small groups of people of diverse expertise.”
Mike says:
“I first met Ruby while being interviewed for an article on the Chamber of Commerce, featuring myself as President and Jim McBride the Chairman. I was impressed by Ruby’s interview style and filed the new contact into my network group. I have now engaged Ruby to help prepare a PR/Social Media/Marketing campaign to assist in capturing previous and new customers to a retail hospitality outlet in the middle of Worcester post Covid 19 restrictions. Ruby has great knowledge of the local environment and her very affordable and flexible ‘pay as you go’ policy is excellent value.”
Other wordsmiths include Harriett Baldwin MP, Rachel Jenkins from plus-size lingerie brand Curvy Kate and Nick Owen from BBC Midlands Today. To find out more about You Do Better’s word of the week please visit: www.youdobetter.co.uk.
