Citizens and businesses across Herefordshire and Worcestershire are invited to take part in a new Suicide Prevention Project taking place across the two counties. The project team is based at Worcestershire County Council but the project itself is part of a national programme funded by NHS England. We’re pleased to invite you to our first virtual stakeholder meeting. We’ll be running two versions – one for Worcestershire and one for Herefordshire:
- Worcestershire: Wednesday 3rd March, 1:20pm – 3:30pm
- Herefordshire: Thursday 4th March, 1:20pm – 3:30pm
The meeting will include an introduction to our project and its focus on middle-aged men, key speakers and an opportunity to have your say on what your communities need and how we could work together. There will also be a chance to share your experiences and thoughts around:
Signposting those in emotional distress
Successfully engaging men in your communities
The barriers some men face in engaging with services
To get the most benefit out of the discussions, we recommend reflecting on these topics in advance. We’d also be grateful if you could spend 10 minutes completing our Training Needs Survey Suicide Prevention Training Needs Survey (office.com) .
Please complete your responses by Wednesday 24th February so we can feed back analysis at the meeting. This is going to provide valuable insight for our project – your help is really appreciated.
Details of how to join and an agenda will be sent out in due course. In the meantime, if you have any questions feel free to email one of the team at suicidepreventionprogramme@worcestershire.gov.uk
