Businesses celebrating apprenticeship week

National Apprenticeship Week takes place from 7-13 February and looks to celebrate apprentices across the country and the value they bring to businesses.

Hiring an apprentice is a fantastic opportunity for businesses to effectively grow talent and develop a skilled and qualified workforce.

The week-long celebration will shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships have.

According to the latest Salary & Benefits Report released by the Chamber, 65% of companies who attempted to recruit experienced difficulties in doing so. For further insights on the local skills and salary landscape, download our Salary & Benefits Report here.

Apprenticeships allow businesses to train and develop young talent, so they have the necessary skills and experiences that organisations need. By hiring apprentices, businesses can somewhat close the skills gap they are currently faced with.
