Over 75 delegates including some of the county’s leading businesses and arts organisations came together at Hereford’s NMITE in Skylon Park on Wednesday 18th to celebrate the strides being taken towards the county’s net zero ambitions, and to share ideas on how to meet the challenges head on.
Organised by Herefordshire Climate and Nature Partnership Board, it featured a keynote speech from clean power innovator Juliet Davenport OBE (pictured centre) who is President of the Energy Institute and author of The Green Start-Up, plus presentations from organisations across the county who shared their own experience.
Among them (pictured left to right around Juliet Davenport) Merry Albright, Creative Director of Border Oak Design, Vernon Amor, MD of Wye Valley Brewery, Claire Spicer, Head of Conservation at Herefordshire Wildlife Trust and Justin Price, SHEQ Manager at Frank H Dale. “We have all made a commitment to a more sustainable future for our businesses,” says Vernon Amor. “It was a real meeting of minds as we exchanged ideas.” “When you hear how organisations are making changes, it is inspirational, informative and helps people explore what’s possible within their own business,” adds Juliet Davenport.
