This week marked the 2-year anniversary of the UK leaving the EU. There have been numerous teething issues over the past 2 years which have affected the ability of UK businesses to trade with the EU.
The government have managed to agree new free trade deals with over 70 countries since leaving the EU, presenting new and exciting opportunities for the future.
Costs, delays and documentation however, have been some of the main issues businesses have experienced when trading with the EU over the past 2 years. Despite this, Herefordshire and Worcestershire businesses have seen an improvement in oversees orders during the final quarter of 2021, compared to the previous quarter.
A new ‘Brexit freedoms’ bill will be brought forward to support businesses trading overseas, it was also announced this week, by removing retained EU laws.
