Apex Medical Are Giving Back

Considering what has been happening over the last year and a half Apex Medical Limited, UK Subsidiary of Apex Medical Corp, decided they wanted to give back to the community.

The pandemic has had a huge knock on affect on the healthcare system and charities, many of which rely on the support and donations raised through fundraising.

Apex Medical Limited’s head office is in Worcester and so when discussing which charity to support it was unanimous.

As the majority of the employees here are all parents, we can only imagine how vital the support Acorns provides within the midlands and how isolation through the last 18months would have impacted greatly on those families with children with life limiting illnesses.

APEX Medical provides critical medical equipment to the NHS, Care Homes and medical centres as well as providing the Nightingale Hospitals during Covid with pressure relieving mattresses. Health, wellness, and care is very close to our hearts.

All of the employees are eager to get involved and now restrictions are easing it is the perfect time to get fundraising.

Greg Whelan UK Marketing & Product Manager I am incredibly proud to be a supporter of Acorns Children’s Hospice, my recent involvement with Acorns has inspired me to take all the positives and kindness shown towards me during my childhood and do all I can to help children suffering life limiting illness and  to support their families through challenges such as this. For many of us their daily challenges are unimaginable, in being the best I can be, I want to do all I can to help and support Acorns, and the children and families who rely on the wonderful support of Acorns Children’s hospice.”

Already Ivan Thompson- Sales Director has raised £95 with his Kilimanjaro run.

Now Greg is in his final preparation stage for the Scotland Cycle Challenge which he will be doing over 4 days from the 3rd July. Taking on a whopping 500miles with well over 25,000 feet of elevation. All money donated through the just giving page will be going to Acorns. So far having raised 35% of the £2000 target.

Greg “The support I have been given from Apex, family and friends is amazing if not a little daunting as now the pressure really is on for completing it…..”

Olivia Kaluna, Partnerships Fundraising Manager at Acorns said: “We’re thrilled that Apex Medical Ltd have chosen to support Acorns. Our work has never been more needed as it has been since the start of the pandemic as we support families who are dealing with a raft of challenges. It’s work that can only continue thanks to fundraising initiatives from the local community and businesses like Apex Medical, so everyone at Acorns is hugely grateful and we wish them all the best on their cycle challenge!”

More fundraising, challenges & events will be taken on by Apex and employees to help raise funds to support Acorns and the vital work they do.

To help reach the goal any donations is much appreciated https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Apex-Medical-UK
