Accessible support for confident learning and successful transitions

As learners prepare for a new academic year, accessible, person-centred support can make a meaningful difference to confidence, focus and participation. This free Study Day at The Shell Store brings together the specialist expertise of Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce members Holly Bolt, Kamila Hadley and Fliss Falconer. On offer will be information and guidance on learning strategies, assistive technology, study skills and regulation to equip learners, parents, carers and education professionals with practical tools to support learning at school, college, university and beyond.

Designed as a flexible, neuroinclusive event, the morning invites attendees to participate in a way that suits them, whether that means joining the full session, dropping in for specific advice, speaking one-to-one with specialists or gathering ideas for the next stage of study. Breaks, movement, stimming and other regulation strategies will be encouraged throughout, with quiet spaces available and support animals welcome.

For learners and those who support them, the event offers a great opportunity to explore resources for September, understand access arrangements and Disabled Students’ Allowance, and discover simple strategies that can support study, concentration and self-regulation. Attendees will leave with clear signposts, useful resources and practical tools for learning with greater confidence.
