People really do get results at the Chamber Business Expo. Macmillan Cancer Support attended the event in October 2015 for a really inspiring day where they showcased two of their vital services.
Jenny Goddard, Macmillan Area Fundraising Manager, commented:
Whether you are an employer, carer, business or health professional, we can provide you with support and information about work and cancer.
At the Expo, we were able to engage local businesses in Macmillan’s Work and Cancer resources for employees, employers and HR departments. Over 750,000 people of working age are living with cancer in the UK and half a million people are juggling work and caring for someone with cancer.
We were also able to introduce both exhibitors and delegates to our Ecampaigns - signing up over 50 people on the day. Campaigning is vital to us. It helps change things for the better and makes sure people affected by cancer have their voices heard.
Macmillan is committed to supporting people with cancer throughout their treatment, when they first hear they have a cancer diagnosis, during their treatment, in hospital, on returning home or at the end of their life – Macmillan believes that no one should face cancer alone.
