Worcester City

The Government has announced a new support scheme for Businesses required to close due to the new restrictions of the National Lockdown on 5 January 2021. View the list of types of businesses required to close. If you APPLIED FOR AND RECEIVED a grant under the November lockdown or under Tier Two or Tier Three arrangements you do not need to apply for the January Lockdown Grant – the City Council will make a payment where we hold sufficient data to allow us to do so. All other Business Rates payers should ensure that we have their details. This includes ratepayers who received a grant under the first lockdown from March 2020, but who did not subsequently apply between 5 November and 5 January.

Bromsgrove/Redditch

If you have previously completed an application form for a Covid business support grant because your business was asked to close at any point since 1st November then we will use the details you previously supplied to make a new grant payment, you don’t need to reapply. National Restrictions were announced from 5th January 2021. Whilst the national restrictions remain in place businesses that are required to close by law will be eligible for Local Restriction Support Grant (Closed) – If your business has had to close because of lockdown. Businesses that were required to close during this period will also be eligible for the Closed Business Lockdown Payment (CBLP); which is a payment which will be made in addition to the LRSG (Closed) The two grants will be paid separately, and local councils are working on a process to ensure that you do not have to apply for CBLP.

Wychavon/Malvern Hills

The Government has introduced a new support scheme for businesses with a business rates account that have been forced to close during the national lockdown introduced on 5 January 2021. If you have already successfully applied for, or received, a grant from the 5 November to 2 December 2020 lockdown then you do not need to apply again. This is because the Council are attempting to make payments to businesses automatically with the information they already hold. In a small number of cases automatic payments won’t be possible because they need additional information. You are advised to check your bank account regularly to see if payment has been made. If you have not received payment by 28 January 2021 then you will need to apply again by filling in the Coronavirus Business Support Grant Application Form here. If you have any queries then please email businessrates@southworcestershirerevenues.gov.uk. If you have a business rates account, and have not applied or received money from any of the previous business support grant schemes then you will need to apply using the Coronavirus Business Support Grant Application Form.
