ZwickRoell has donated €1,000 to the Community First Responders (CFR) Charity following the successful completion of its global “ZwickRoell Runs The World” Challenge, which encouraged employees, customers, and suppliers to stay active while supporting meaningful causes.
The donation will support the Wyre Forest Community First Responders, part of the larger Hereford and Worcester First Responders Charity who provide vital, life-saving care in local communities.
Ian Woodham from Community First Responders said ‘we are incredibly grateful to ZwickRoell for this generous donation. As volunteers, we rely entirely on fundraising and donations to equip our response vehicles and keep our service running. This support will allow us continue providing rapid, life-saving care when it’s needed most’.
Community First Responders are unpaid volunteers trained by the West Midlands Ambulance Service to respond to 999 calls in their spare time. They provide immediate treatment in life threatening situations such as cardiac arrests, trauma, strokes, asthma attacks and seizures, where every minute can significantly increase the chance of survival.
The ZwickRoell Runs The World Challenge brought together employees, customers, and suppliers from across the organisation to collectively run, walk, and hike an impressive 200,000 km within 60 days. Upon achieving this milestone, ZwickRoell donated a total of €100,000 to charities worldwide.
Benno Sadowski, Managing Director at ZwickRoell said “Community First Responders play a vital role in saving lives across local communities, and we are proud that our contribution will help equip their new response vehicle and strengthen the essential work they do every day.”
