On 4 September, the BCC’s Workplace Training and Development Commission (WTDC) published its Progress Report for consultation. The report marks the halfway point in the Commission’s Inquiry into adult skills in the workplace. It sets out our emerging recommendations to support and incentivise employers to invest more in upskilling and reskilling people for the rapidly changing workplace.
The BCC team is using the report to speak to ministers and their departments about the skills system and the needs of business, ahead of the forthcoming White Paper on Further Education (FE) reform. The Commission’s final report will be published in November.
