Witley Jones have appointed Lucy Jones as a Director, an exciting step in their growth.
The Stourport-on-Severn based furniture manufacturer has supported the education sector for over 20 years and something that has been instrumental in supporting their growth and success is their values, loyal workforce, and family ethos.
As a family business, we are delighted to have seen both Matt and Lucy, the children of our Chairman and Financial Director Chris and Jane Jones , join and flourish within the business over the years, learning the ropes from a young age with a focus of ensuring the succession of the company.
Lucy Jones joined the business back in 2015 as an Accounts Assistant, then moving into a Finance Manager role. Graduating with a Level 4 AAT Qualification in 2019, she has since taken on increasing responsibility within the business.
Lucy has continued in her development and was appointed as a Director of the business earlier this year.
This role will see Lucy shaping and steering the financial direction of the business, overseeing the day-to-day finances and being involved in the key growth and strategy of Witley Jones.
“Personally, this is a great accomplishment for myself. While I have worked hard to achieve this it would be remiss of me not to thank my now fellow Directors for the faith and belief, they entrusted me with when I started on this journey.
Having watched the business grow from the family home at the age of 5 to where it is now 24 years later, I have an immense feeling of pride for everybody who has been part of Witley Jones along the way.
