A leading access management firm shone a light on its services and products when it opened its doors to companies from the fenestration sector.
The Key Safe Company’s first ever Fenestration Open Day attracted local door and window businesses eager to know more about the Worcester-based firm’s class-leading products with a view to installing and selling them.
Attendees were talked through the benefits and features unique to Key Safe products such as the ark Tamo, which provides ultra-safe key storage at the point of need, and took part in a productive Q&A led by the company’s Founder and CEO David Ogden.
David asked fenestration business leaders what they would like to see from his products, how they would use them and if there were areas where they might be improved.
Members of Key Safe’s technical team delivered installation training to illustrate the skills needed to fit Key Safe products with confidence and precision, and visitors took away a free showroom sample of the ark Tamo, billed as the world’s most secure push-button key safe.
Live demonstrations were held to allow attendees to witness first-hand how Key Safe products can withstand vigorous attack tests to achieve LPS1175 certification, as set by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB).
Held at Key Safe’s Nunnery Park headquarters, the open day also provided networking opportunities; connecting industry professionals to exchange ideas and build valuable relationships.
The event proved a huge commercial success with a number of orders placed as a result.
David Ogden, Founder of The Key Safe Company, said: “It was a really positive and successful day with a number of people taking up orders on the back of it.
“The companies that attended spoke very highly of our key safes and the brilliant staff that design, engineer and market them.
“The fenestration market promotes high security doors and windows. We are storing the keys for these doors and windows so there’s a clear synergy between ourselves and businesses in the fenestration sector.
“High quality and maximum security is what we and the fenestration market are striving for so we really do complement each other.”
David said it was ‘imperative’ for Key Safe’s partners to have installation training as it forms part of the company’s LPCB accreditation.
He commented: “Quality control and adhering to industry standards is a critical part of what we do as a business so it’s important we educate our partners and installers.”
It wasn’t all one-way traffic in terms of takeaways from the open day.
“We learnt an awful lot from the event too,” David added. “It has helped us to better understand what customers want, what we need to be offering and how we can improve.
“We have always used comments from customers to shape our products and our evolution as a business, so the feedback we received on the day will be invaluable to us moving forward.”
Ashley Smith and Tyler Kilminster, Directors of The Worcestershire Door Company, were ‘extremely pleased’ to have taken up the open day invite.
“Both Tyler and I were impressed with the design, engineering and overall quality of their product,” Ashley said.
“We will be pushing everyone to secure their home with the ark Tamo key safe.”
Terry Jones, Founder of TJ Conservatories, was delighted to have attended ‘a lovely morning with really nice and friendly staff’.
He said: “I was very impressed with the ark Tamo key safe. It opened my eyes to how superior it is when compared with others on the market.”
