The Courtyard makes the finals of Visit England Awards for Excellence 2025

The Courtyard is thrilled to announce it is a finalist in the 2025 Visit England Awards for Excellence in the ‘Accessible and Inclusive Tourism’ category.

In February, Head of Sales and Marketing Jessica Prosser and Head of Operations Phillip Pearcy attended the Visit Herefordshire Awards on behalf of The Courtyard and accepted the Accessible and Inclusive Tourism Award in the regional ceremony.

As a regional award winner, The Courtyard’s application was submitted for consideration for the national awards and is delighted to be chosen as a finalist following a rigorous judging process by handpicked tourism industry experts.

“Having this kind of recognition for the work we put into being as accessible and inclusive as possible is a huge deal.” Says Marketing Officer Ruby Thorogood, “We are constantly striving to improve our offering and facilities, and are excited to be able to celebrate and share what we do at a national level.”

The Courtyard is a welcoming venue for everyone including d/Deaf, visually impaired, disabled and neurodiverse customers.

The venue provides a range of accessible features and opportunities including wheelchair accessibility, a Changing Places toilet and disabled toilets on ground and upper floors, touch tours, tactile maps and signage, hearing loop, Relaxed/British Sign Language/Subtitled/Audio Described performances and screenings, social stories, dementia friendly events, inclusive workshops and complimentary carers tickets.
