Chamber Member Dr Tony Fusco of 3D Leadership puts lockdown to good use writing a book that ponders the bigger questions of – life and leadership!
The A to Z of Authentic Leadership takes you on a journey around the concept of personal and leadership authenticity, through the ideas and examples of various psychologists, philosophers, political figures and business leaders.
26 bite-sized chapters explore how a variety of individuals and ideas illustrate what authentic leadership is and what it isn’t; from Gandhi’s insistence on truth and JFK’s intellectual maturity to Hitler’s borderline psychosis and Trump’s malignant psychopathy.
In addition, this A to Z journey considers the ideas of philosophers and psychologists such as; Soren Kierkegaard, Friedrich Nietzsche, Carl Rogers, Viktor Frankl and Irvin Yalom, revealing what they have to say on the subject of personal authenticity.
It also explores authentic leadership through four main leadership temperaments and how these lead to four different leadership intelligences as demonstrated through the case studies of; Elon Musk, Henry Ford, Kofi Annan and Red Adair.
The journey begins with a slightly disconcerting look at how the modern world may be hijacking our pursuit of personal authenticity and ends with an invitation for the reader to reflect on their experience of the 2020 pandemic and what this has meant for them personally in terms of their own authentic engagement with life.
