Sustainability West Midlands has been commissioned by the Midlands Energy Hub to support a Midlands wide study into the state of the Low Carbon and Environmental Goods and Services Sector across the Midlands. Working with kMatrix, the study seeks to understand the current state of the sector, identify where support is needed to help grow this sector across the Midlands, and the role the sector can play in driving a low-carbon recovery from Covid-19. The recently announced ‘Ten Point Plan for a Green Industrial Revolution’ and Sixth Carbon Budget mean that this study is incredibly relevant and important in shaping local place-based policy and activity.
We would like to invite you to join us at one of our forthcoming focus groups. The aim of these workshops is to disseminate the emerging findings from the study, and to contribute your feedback on the support needs for the sector including skills needs. Please choose the session that is most relevant to you. If you are working across multiple LEP areas you are welcome to join more than one session.
We also invite you to register for the conference planned towards the end of the project in February 2021, when we will share the draft recommendations and welcome comments.
