The Severn Valley Railway is offering a treat for young people, with a special on-train storytelling session.
On Saturday 12 April, best-selling author Sam Sedgman will be reading from his railway-based adventure stories for children aged seven and over, on board a heritage train between Kidderminster and Bewdley.
‘Steam into Stories’ is part of the Bewdley Festival. Tickets include the chance to meet author Sam at Kidderminster Town railway station for a book signing and author talk. Then, there’s a train journey to Bewdley, during which Sam will read aloud from one of his exciting books. Return travel to Kidderminster is also included on one of the SVR’s services later in the day.
Tickets for the event are available at bewdleyfestival.org.uk.
The SVR has also teamed up with Bewdley Festival for the first-ever Betti Moretti poetry competition for children. The closing date for entries is 24 March and there’s more information at svr.co.uk.
