Skills for the Future

NMITE’s Herefordshire Skills for the Future programme, which is part-funded by the European Social Fund, aims to help bridge the gap between small businesses and the education sector and develop enterprise skills amongst young people.

Since summer 2021 their dedicated team has been engaging with schools and businesses across the county through Enterprise and Entrepreneurship workshops, business events, training programmes, and the development of a Work Experience Placement Directory for businesses, schools and colleges. All of these activities are fully-funded for Herefordshire businesses and education providers.

As part of Herefordshire Skills for the Future, NMITE has recently launched Springboard, an early careers leadership programme which will provide unique training and development opportunities for graduates and career-shifters.

This fully-funded 12-month training package, which is due to start on the 28th April 2022, is open to employees of Herefordshire-based SMEs who have either graduated or moved careers within the last 3 years. For more information about Springboard, contact our Placement Co-ordinator, Lydia Stevens, at lydia.stevens@nmite.ac.uk.
