Sir Clive Woodward, Rugby World Cup winning coach from 2003 addressed the Worcestershire business community at the Chateau Impney on Friday 5th July for the first ‘BIG LUNCH’.
With over 350 guests, this was the county’s largest corporate lunch being delivered by AMROS Events and Promotions in partnership with Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce and Worcestershire Ambassadors.
Sir Clive Woodward was joined by Worcester Warriors legend Chris Pennell who is celebrating his testimonial year for the Aviva Premiership side.
We are delighted to announce that just under £30,000 was raised during the afternoon for the two chosen charities – Wooden Spoon Worcestershire and the RFU Injured Players Foundation.
RFU Injured Players Foundation supports players who sustain a catastrophic spinal cord or traumatic brain injury and help to prevent future injuries through research and education.
Wooden Spoon Worcestershire have raised over £280,000 of funding to projects that transform the lives of disadvantaged and disabled children in the community.
Worcestershire based accountancy firm, Hayward Wright Group, were the principal sponsors of the afternoon. Alistair Hayward-Wright commented “We are delighted to have supported such a fantastic event at the Chateau Impney and raising funds for two great causes. With over 350 people in attendance, it was fantastic afternoon with rugby legend Sir Clive Woodward.”
