Rural Media Nominated for 3 Royal Television Society Midlands Awards

Rural Media are delighted to be nominated for two RTS Midlands 2020 awards. Alongside a wide-ranging array of Midlands talent, Rural Media have been nominated twice in the Animation category. First, for their New Creatives animation Flesh – a short-film created by Herefordshire-based filmmaker and 2019 New Creatives artist, Anna Campbell.

Secondly, they’ve been nominated for their short animation Roads From The Past, made alongside Travellers Times. The short film, animated by Beck Williams and written by Damian La Bas, charts and explains the history and culture of Gypsy, Roma, Traveller people. Lastly, Rural Media’s New Creatives project is up for an award in the prestigious Short Form category. With nearly 30 films made over the last two years, the New Creatives team at Rural Media have been hard at work delivering innovative, compelling and exciting work to the BBC.

Winners will be announced Wednesday 25th November.
