It’s been twelve months of businesses carrying on under lockdown restrictions and this year has seen the incredible rise of Zoom and other online technologies that have helped us to stay connected and keep businesses moving.
Online networking events and meetings have been fantastic but lacking that face to face “chatter” Kidderminster based Human Everything decided to do what they do best, and put the person back in focus, in this instance, the forefront of a Zoom networking call to get to know the person behind the screen.
An event was launched, inviting people to join a business Zoom call and to bring along a self-portrait that described the person as they would not normally be seen in a typical Zoom meeting. “Being creative is a really great way to focus on our wellbeing. We wanted people to take part in this art event to use the self-portrait as a way of getting some much-deserved ‘me’ time”, said Colin Noble, co-founder of Human Everything.
After a relaxed, friendly and lively session of meeting new faces and learning more about the person behind the Zoom square, the resulting group photo showing everyone’s artwork has been submitted to Grayson Perry’s Art Club. which is currently showing on Channel 4.
