Fundraising request to help with running costs for the Young Driver Experience for young people aged 14 to 17 years old hosted by the ELY Memorial Fund. The event covers one week Monday 20th – Friday 24th July at Herefordshire, North Shropshire & Ludlow College. It is a day event costing £30 per student, that offers up to 2 hours driving with Driving Instructors within the grounds of the car park, participate in four workshops covering, Drink/Drug awareness with West Mercia Police; Seatbelt/passenger safety with Hereford & Worcester fire & rescue service; roadside first aid with Herefordshire First Aid and learn what’s under the bonnet with Oldfields Garage, Leominster. Each there will be 36 students taking part and learning key skills about road safety behind the wheel.
The majority of the costs is to cover the Driving Instructors with six cars in the region of £5,400. The Charity are looking for sponsorships to cover these costs and help us continue our road safety campaign to help young people be safer drivers once they have passed their driving test.
