Primrose Hospice

Fundraise

F.B & Sons, Lawns and landscapes have designed a show garden dedicated to the Primrose Hospice & Family Support Centre in Bromsgrove which looks after those with terminal illnesses and their families. The garden is centered around a retreat space inspired by ancient crafts and materials, with a wattle and daub shelter, stone archway and mindful labyrinth. Holding the garden together will be a series of standing stones, taking inspiration from ancient landscapes. We are looking to use predominantly reclaimed or recycled materials, so the garden will be an example of sustainable garden design.
Poignantly, set within the shelter will be a ‘wind telephone’ – the telephone isn’t physically connected, but the idea is for people to speak with those they have lost and let their words travel ‘on the wind’. The wind telephone concept was originally created by Itaru Sasaki in 2010 and opened publicly after the 2011 Tohuku earthquake in Japan. The planting for the garden will be a mixture of native wildflowers and grasses, with a smaller amount of ornamental planting and trees. Once the show has ended, the garden will be rebuilt in the grounds of Primrose Hospice & Family Support Centre for patients and family members to use for years to come.

To make this garden happen, the hospice are looking for local businesses to help sponsor the garden and make this a reality for their patients and families.

Could you help in any way to fund this garden which will be enjoyed by many.
